I see thy tears

Some regrets that will die with us or go with us into eternity
It is becoming increasingly clear that there are forces at work, both seen and unseen, that have the aim of stopping all forms of Christian witness. I see the day coming in the near future when I will be a lawbreaker for preaching from my pulpit that sodomy is an abomination before God. I see the day coming when Christians will be the most discriminated against group in America. Is it not amazing that Evolution can be taught in public schools as fact? I dare say if a teacher stood in class and taught the Biblical-creation view, he or she would be in violation of separation of Church and State.
Another alarming fact is that the history books are being removed or rewritten in regard to our Christian heritage. This has been going on for years and each succeeding generation knows less and less of our Christian heritage. The King James Bible was used to teach reading. Picture that in today's public school. The horror of children being warped by that BOOK! I hope you realize the Bible and the Truth it contains is the strongest defense against those things that are destroying our youth! Is it so wrong to give them hope, direction, and deliverance from the things that are causing them the most pain and failure?
It seems that Biblical views are the most attacked and banished views in public life in America. One could be advised to divorce, use condoms or pills, get an abortion, etc., and very few cry. However, bring up the Bible and its teachings and you are in for trouble.
Christians are to live under the dictates of Scripture. See Matt. 5:13-16. "Ye are the salt of the earth; but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
I had intended to only write one article on Christian Witness, but was pressed into part 2 by the front page of People Magazine. The front page caption tells it all: "Heartbreaking Crimes - Kids Without a Conscience? Rape murder, a baby dead at a prom: A look at young lives that seem to have gone very, very wrong."
May I remind you of a statement I made in part one: "I hope you realize the Bible and the Truth it contains is the strongest defense against the things that are destroying our youth."
Friends, we are trying to help, not hurt. Look at 1 Thess. 2:13-16, 18: "For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and made their own prophets and have persecuted us: and they please not God and are contrary to all men: Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost." ..."Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us."
Please read Acts chapters 3 and 4. Notice in chapter 3, a lame man has been healed (an apostolic miracle). It upset the crowd, especially after Peter attributed the miracle to Jesus and laid the blame on them for crucifying the Christ and calls upon them to repent.
- In chapter 4:2 we see them "grieved that they taught the people..."
- In verse 3, "laid hands on them and put them in hold..."
- In verse 4, "Howbeit many of them which heard the Word believed;..."
- In verse 13-14, Peter and John are perceived to "be unlearned and ignorant men...and they (the Jews) took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus."
- Finally, in verse 17-19, "But that it spread no further among the people, let us (the Jews) straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name (Jesus). And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard."
I might subtitle part 3, "What happens when the 'Law of the land' conflicts with the 'Law of God?'" Surely placing a hand on the Bible and swearing to uphold the laws of the land does not obligate one to oppose the Law of God!
There is no doubt that the original law of the land was based on the Law of God. Equally, there in no doubt that the law of the land now conflicts with the Law of God. This brings up a good question: "Which is the higher authority?" Can any law of the land negate any Law of God and stand? Will God honor the law of the land if it conflicts with the Law of God? There is a great difference between "freedom of religion" and "freedom from religion." This seems to be the concept of a small minority of people of America. Separation of Church and State does not guarantee freedom from religion! It guarantees freedom of religion. To not allow one the freedom to express his faith and even share that faith is a violation of God's Law. It definitely was not the intent of the founders of this great nation. If the Statesmen of the past were to step back on the scene and see what has transpired, they would call for a return to our Biblical, Christian roots immediately. They would call our nation back to God, the Bible, and Prayer! They would not stand for what has slowly eaten away at the moral and Spiritual fiber of America.
Friends, the facts are clear:
- It is not the Christian community that has changes over the years.
- The Constitution and Bill of Rights were never intended to be enemies of Christ and His cause.
- As long as the proper view of the true intent of Separation of Church and State was held, this nation prospered morally and our families were strong and viable.
- The further we get from our Christian roots, the more Godless we become in belief and behavior.
- Therefore, the only thing that will save this Nation is a return to the things which made it the great nation it was.
Isaiah 1:1-31 is a good picture of America:
vs.2: Rebellion rules.
vs. 3: We don't know our Master.
vs. 4: "Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel to anger, they are gone away backward."
vs. 5: "The whole head (seat of authority, government) is sick, and the whole heart faint."
vs. 6: "From the sole of the foot (south) unto the head (north) there is no soundness in it;..."
vs. 7: "Your country is desolate..."
vs. 9: "Except the LORD of hosts (the God of the Bible) had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah."
NOW PLEASE, I CANNOT PRINT THE WHOLE CHAPTER HERE, BUT WOULD YOU READ THE REST AND PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO VS.16,17,18,19,20 AND 21?
SAVED FRIENDS, IT IS TIME TO WEEP AND PRAY OVER AMERICA... PAST TIME.
