Some regrets that will die with us or go with us into eternity
There are 81 references to angels in the New Testament. Most of these refer to angelic beings, while some refer to men as messengers and some to the spirit of man. Heb. 13:2 states, "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." Angels can be materialized for specific purposes as were the two angels appearing as men in Sodom. Though they are able to be manifested as men, Heb. 13:2 indicates it happens unawares, that is, without our knowledge. Please read Hebrews 1:1-14 and notice especially v14. "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" After the temptation of Jesus in Mt. 4, we are told in v11 that "angels came and ministered unto Him." In Mt. 26:53, Jesus said "Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?" Though saved people are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, we are ministered to constantly by angels unseen! (see John 1:51) Eph. 6:12 states, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." It appears that God has given good angels a charge to protect us as well from the evil angels spoken of in Eph 6:12. We have not only the Holy Spirit, but a band of angels to help us in our battle with Satan and his demons. Hallelujah! Worshipping of angels is condemned in Col. 2:18. Angels were involved in the annunciation, (Mt. 1:20-24; Lu. 2:8-15). Angels were involved in communication, (Mt. 2:13, 19; Mt. 28:1-8; Acts 8:26; Acts 10:1-8; 11:7-14). Angels were involved in special acts of deliverance. (Acts 5:17-25, Acts 12:1-11, Acts 12:20-24) See also Ps 55:18 and Ps. 34:7. Angels were involved in impartation of power and protection. (Acts 27:21-25; Luke 4:10; 2 Li. 6:16-17) Angels will be involved in the Great Tribulation. (Rev. 5:1-2, 7:1-3, 8:1-13` 13-14, 10:1-11, 11:1-15, 14:6-20, 16:1-17, 17:1, 18:1, 21, 19:17, 20:1-3, 22:11-17). Angels will be involved in the separating of the lost from the saved! (Mk. 13:24-27, Mt. 24:31). Angels are involved in observation as we live our lives. (1 Cor. 4:9, Heb.12:22). Angels are involved in the transportation of disembodied spirits. At his death, Lazarus was "carried by the angels" in Luke 16:19-22. See also Jude 8-9. Finally when the Christian commits the "sin unto death", the ministering spirits are called away as the person is delivered "unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus." 1 Cor. 5:5. According to Mt. 25:41 those who die lost will hear Jesus say "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:." Angels are as real as Hell! ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE SAVED?
